THIS IS MY PERSONAL FAVORITE TALE BECAUSE EDWARD TURNS FROM A COWARD AND DESPONDENT MAN INTO A COURAGEOUS AND SMART AS...DAMCYANERD. (D...N IS HE A NERD) AND HIS SECRETARY (FUTURE SECRET LOVER), HARLEY IS A FULL-ON NERD. A SCHOLAR TO BE SPECIFIC. (I DON'T TALK LIKE THIS. I USUALLY TALK DETAILED. SO I WILL TALK DETAILED, INSTEAD OF SLANG, SINCE THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE TALES.)
You start in Damcyan Castle, where Edward is still in mourning for Anna and Tellah. People are traumatized with the fact their love is gone...killed right in your face. Talking about the worst case of PTSD...anyway, Harley is a secretary who needed to talk to Edward because the money flow between Mist, Eblan, Fabul and Baron is not going well. The next day, a shooting star hits the Blue Planet right next to Mount Hobs. As you discuss that you (Edward) associate the star with the Second Moon, you suggest that Cecil's viewpoint is important because he IS Golbez's brother. So you send an emissary to Baron, and Harley goes with guards to discover the crash site. Night time comes, and you still grieve for Annah, but no sign of the emissary or Harley either. You go to your bedroom and sleep, and realize Anna appears in your dreams. She is sad, and you ask why, but no answer. She is like this because Annah is sad (in the old one, she wants Edward to share her love all over the world) because Annah sees that Edward is not happy. He's mourning for her, and wants him to move on. There is only ONE female in the kingdom: His secretary, Harley. She wants him to find a new Annah, in this case, Harley.
You wake up from your dreams, and see that they still didn't return, you go on outside the castle, but you are escorted with guards to keep the chancellor happy and in good conscience. You come across the site, and it looks like a parasite eating the Earth away. So, you can get the treasure, and you sooner or later, meet Harley, discovering that this meteor is devouring the soil like poison. So, they go out of the crash site to find a Red Wings airship fly to Damcyan, and Edward finds it VEERY uncomfortable (especially because those were the ones who killed Anna and took his Fire Crystal), and leaves the site to Damcyan. The emissary tells you that the meteor site is to be in Baron's hand to investigate. (Because SOMEBODY is stealing Crystals again, and it's not Cecil....), so he leaves, and he decides, why can't HE visit Cecil himself? So you realize something is fishy about the message. You leave to the underground cave with Harley and 3 guards, and you see Harley getting tired and unwell. By the time you get to Kaipo, she is sick with desert fever. So, you promise yourself that you will bring the Sand Pearl...
At night, Annah appears again, and she us still sad. Edward doesn't understand until Tellah appears, saying he knows what to do. But Edward doesn't. (But, Annah is sad because 17 years passed and Edward is still mourning for her when he should've found a new love. In the original Final Fantasy IV, Cecil saved his love one from desert fever in Kaipo, and married later. Perhaps Edward may feel the same way for Harley later...) You cross the cave and the Antlions' Den and get the Sand Pearl IN THE FULL MOON. OTHERWISE, YOU CAN'T GET THE PEARL! Once you you leave and head towards the cave, 2 bandits tries to steal your pearl, but you fall off the waterfall, and get to the first floor, so it is easy to exit. You reach to Kaipo and give Harley the sand Pearl and she recovers. Then, you are in her place. And she secretly took care of you. (Because she found it romantic for a king to heal her alone. He is her hero. Love story indeed.) Then, you head towards Baron. Then, Harley realizes the Moon looks VERY different from Golbez's. She even knows that the MAN IN BLACK IS GOLBEZ! (Spoiler) She is smart. (This Tale gives SOOO MUCH spoiler alerts, because of Harley's discoveries.) Then, you see another ship going with you. Yang's. He apparently has an issue with Baron.(like last time...)
Then, you see that Yang realized what you did, that Cecil is acting strange, and that you're not alone. Until....his ship slows. Then, you feel cold...(Because of Leviathan...making waves under the MYSETERIOUS GIRL'S CONTROL.)
Once you head Baron, you meet up with Cecil, who is already acting strange. He gives you a gift, and you give him flowers of whisperweed. Cecil is not "Cecil" because he doesn't know what Edward gave him. (Smart dude) Once you leave. You pull a flower and you can spy on Cecil through whisperweed or radio. You hear a GIRL and Cecil plotting against Edward. The box, because Edward knows what it is without looking at it, is the CARMELIAN SIGNET, WHICH CECIL USED TO DESTROY MIST. Guess what? Cecil is not being a Paladin! He is acting like a....DARK KNIGHT? Yes! The Mysterious turned Cecil into a Dark Knight under a disguise of a Paladin! (I'll explain later.)
Since Edward doesn't have a Tail Boss, Look for Bronze Tails and Silver Tails, dropped by Ettin Snakes and Cave Naga, or chests (usually hidden in the water cave abd Damcyan Castle.)
CHALLENGE DUNGEON. THIS HAS 5 BOSSES, CHESTS HAVE MONEY YOU HAVE TO PUT TO OPEN THE GOOD ITEMS AND EXCLUSIVE ITEMS FOR EDWARD AND HARLEY. SO, GET THEM ALL. RECOMMENDED LEVEL IS 20. BY THE TIME YOU ARE DONE, YOU SHPULD BE BY LEVEL 30.
